Sorry for the long review, but I am just giving my honest opinion. I recently had the chance to talk with the head chef at this location , Dominique or Dominick, if I got the name right and I was genuinely impressed. He’s a down-to-earth young man who clearly takes a lot of pride in what he does. You can tell he cares about his craft not just by the way he talks about the food, but by the quality and consistency of every meal he puts out. The flavors, the presentation, and the attention to detail all show that he really puts his heart into it. This place is truly on a different level compared to other man camps I’ve stayed at, like Armadillo or Cotton. The food, the atmosphere, and the effort from the kitchen staff make a huge difference. It honestly feels less like camp food and more like being cooked for by someone who wants you to enjoy your meal. Overall, this location sets a new standard, and Dominique deserves a lot of credit for that.

Not taking one meal service over the other. The breakfast staff great. When you are there every morning for breakfast they remember your face. They remember name and tell you good morning. Then ask do you want your usual. Most of us are away from our families for work. Makes you feel better like they are someone in your family that you would see.

I’ve stayed at a lot of man camps over the years, but the food here really makes this place feel like home. You can genuinely taste the love and care Chef Dominique puts into every meal, it’s not just food, it’s comfort. The breakfast crew is always smiling, welcoming, and full of positive energy every morning, and that truly sets the tone for my day. The rooms are also clean, comfortable, and perfect to unwind in after a long shift. Overall, this place stands out above the rest and definitely sets the bar high!

I want to take a moment to recognize the kitchen team at this man camp, especially the head chef, Dominique. The food here is consistently amazing, well-prepared, and something everyone looks forward to after a long day. What really stands out to me is how Dominique goes above and beyond. He takes the time to walk around, talk to people, and make sure everyone enjoyed their meal. That kind of effort and personal attention doesn’t go unnoticed. From what I’ve seen, he leads by example and runs a great team. It shows in the quality of the food and the overall atmosphere in the dining area. Great job, Chef. It’s appreciated more than you know. -Flex

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great place to stay and eat! This mancamp and restaurant really impressed me. The food was excellent — fresh, flavorful, and served hot every time. The staff are friendly, down-to-earth, and make you feel welcome after a long day of work. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well kept. You can tell they take pride in keeping everything running smooth. Definitely one of the better camps I’ve stayed at — highly recommend it to anyone working in the area!

The gym is great, good laundry rooms. The room was clean and good water pressure. Food hall is pretty good compared to other man camps, i like that you can always order a burger or Philly cheese steak, if you don't want what's on the line for that day. Kitchen staff are good too. Only thing that needs improvement is the coffee, it is the worst brand I've ever had, they need to upgrade to something decent. Even Folgers or something basic would be major improvement.

Don't knock it till you try it. You might be surprised! My company suggested I switch man camps to CHH from Armadillo, where I was already pretty comfortable. I decided to try it out. Booking and Check-in had a few hiccups since it was my first time, but the office and facility staff were incredibly helpful and resolved everything quickly. The rooms are cool and comfortable, with a much better mattress and comforter than Armadillo. The food is delicious and healthy, with one kitchen for regular meals and another for quick à la carte options. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, too. The gym is top-notch, and my favorite feature is the massage chairs and mini sauna—pure bliss! Overall, CHH is a significant upgrade from my previous stays. Highly recommend!

I had to stay at CHH Midland Man Camp for Thanksgiving this year. It’s not unusual for me to work through the holidays, but what was out of the norm was the Thanksgiving meal they served here. The food honestly made me feel at home. I’m not sure who was in the kitchen, but you can tell someone was really in there cooking—if you know what I mean. Everything tasted like a home-cooked meal, not just something thrown together. Five stars to the chef. I asked around to find out who made it, and all anyone could tell me was “the tall guy.” Well, tall guy, thank you for making Thanksgiving away from home feel a whole lot more like home.
